These aren't slogans. They're how the Ohmni platform is written, down to the line of code that decides what a driver sees.

    You see the price before you plug in.

    Every charger page shows the energy, time and idle prices, VAT included, before you commit to anything.

  2. 02 / Holds, not charges

    A reservation is not a payment.

    We reserve an amount on your wallet before a charge starts. You pay for what you use, and the rest is released.

  3. 03 / Balance watch

    We watch your balance while you charge.

    You get a warning when your wallet runs low, and Ohmni tells the charger to stop as your balance nears zero.

  4. 04 / Fair warning

    Told before an idle fee starts.

    If a site charges for staying plugged in after you're full, you get a warning before the fee begins.

  5. 05 / No guessing

    If we can't hear a charger, we say so.

    When a charger drops offline its page says 'status unknown' rather than showing a status we can't vouch for.

  6. 06 / One bar of signal

    Made for a parking basement.

    Light pages that load on a weak connection and still work with JavaScript switched off.

Ohmni speaks OCPP, the open protocol chargers use to talk to a back office. So no charger brand owns the network, and the same platform can be licensed to installers and other operators.

The software came first, tested against simulated chargers before a single one was bought. Here's the whole road to the first public charge.

    Charger connection

    Open OCPP 1.6J chargers connect, authorise, start, stop and report meter values. Every raw message is logged.

  2. 02 Built · tested on simulators

    Sessions, tariffs & billing

    Per-kWh, per-minute and idle pricing with VAT. Sessions cut short by an outage still close to a correct bill.

  3. 03 Built · tested on simulators

    Wallet & ledger

    Phone sign-in, a prepaid wallet on a double-entry ledger, and holds released when a charge ends.

    Driver web app

    QR scan to live session to receipt, in the browser. No app store.

    Card and instant-EFT wallet top-ups, then card holds for guests.

"Built" means built and tested against simulated chargers. Nothing has run on real hardware or moved real money yet. That's what the pilot is for.
